16885281018_501f956cb8_zJoin the ABA for a dusk outing to search for the uniquely odd bird known as the Timberdoodle, the Labrador Twister, or by its official name, the American Woodcock. Active in early spring, just after sunset, this peculiar shorebird of the field and forest edge begins to make strange noises and performs elaborate display flights. We will spend an hour or so listening for them and hoping to get a good view of one, and will also keep our eyes and ear open for any owls that might be in the area. March is a good time for owls and woodcocks!
